We are looking for a highly skilled
Senior Mechanical Project Manager
to lead complex construction projects across the Midlands region in Ireland on a freelance basis. This role offers the opportunity to manage high-profile, regulated projects from conception through to completion, working closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients in a dynamic, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage mission-critical mechanical/MEP projects, ensuring delivery to GMP, safety, and regulatory standards.
* Plan, schedule, and monitor all project activities, including budgeting, cost control, and forecasting.
* Coordinate Engineering, QA, BIM, Procurement, and subcontractor teams to resolve issues and maintain efficiency.
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and quality regulations.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, including contract negotiations.
* Prepare progress reports for clients and senior management, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
* 5+ years' experience as a Project or Contracts Manager in mechanical/HVAC projects, ideally with prior project engineering experience.
* Proven experience in pharmaceutical, mission-critical, or high-spec MEP construction projects.
* Excellent project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Full driving license required.
