Financial Accountant Job Type: 69 Month Temporary Contract Salary: €65,000€75,000 per annum (pro-rata) Hours: 9am5pm Location:Dublin 2 (Hybrid options may be considered) At Osborne, we are currently seeking aFinancial Accountantfor a temporary contract with a public sector client in the housing and community development space. This is a 69 month assignment, ideal for an experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Finance Team to deliver high-quality financial services and support operational and strategic initiatives across the organisation. Responsibilities: Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes Verify and maintain financial data within the Financial Management System Prepare and post monthly journals, including fixed asset accounting Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements in line with statutory frameworks Complete periodic regulatory submissions to the parent department Support the continuous improvement of finance processes, automation, and reporting Deliver training and support the implementation of new financial policies and procedures Develop and monitor KPIs to assess process effectiveness and control adequacy Support senior finance management in delivering strategic and operational goals Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and best practices Participate in audit processes and ensure adherence to governance standards Qualifications, Skills & Experience: Essential: Extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting roles Strong reconciliation and financial data analysis skills High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Desirable: Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or similar) Experience with SAGE 50 or similar financial systems Understanding of internal/external audit and financial governance processes Ability to lead change and identify process improvements For more information, please apply through the link provided for the attention of Fiach OByrne or call Osborne Recruitment on If you are interested in finding out more about the above role and would like to be considered for this or other suitable roles that we may have available for your skill set please attach your CV via the link provided.
