Job Description
AtkinsRéalis, one of the world's leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to work as Framework Coordinator within our Aviation team in Dublin. The role offers a blended location with time spent at our client office and our Dublin office, with some potential for home working. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplined team on various building and site development projects across the aviation sector. Candidates should be chartered and experienced in leading multi-disciplinary design teams in a design consultancy environment.
Responsibilities
1. Manage multi-disciplinary design teams to deliver projects successfully, meeting targets for programme, budget, and quality.
2. Oversee Project Managers and coordinate bids, including financial and quality submissions.
3. Lead projects from initial client engagement through bid, design, construction, and handover phases.
4. Develop project strategies with the Project Director and manage risks and contractual issues proactively.
5. Manage project objectives, resource allocation, and team tasks, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
6. Monitor project performance, control changes, and ensure quality assurance procedures are followed.
7. Act as the primary contact between the design team, client, contract administrator, and contractor.
8. Build, motivate, and develop the project team, ensuring health & safety training and clear communication channels.
9. Coordinate commercial arrangements, resource levels, project milestones, and cost estimates.
10. Prepare and maintain project delivery programmes and reports, including financial and schedule updates.
11. Protect commercial interests through timely invoicing, credit control, and risk management.
12. Close out projects effectively, archive documentation, capture lessons learned, and ensure client satisfaction surveys are conducted.
Candidate Profile
* Chartered Engineer/Architect or equivalent with experience managing large infrastructure design projects.
* Proven experience managing design teams in a consultancy setting.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Experience with construction contracts, particularly NEC3, and familiarity with BIM and CDE platforms.
* Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams, with a client-focused approach.
* Experience in project planning, risk management, and earned value techniques.
* Adaptability to different cultures and work environments, with a supportive mentoring style.
