Kitchen Porter Role Overview
* This role is responsible for ensuring all kitchen duties are performed efficiently and effectively.
Main Responsibilities
* Maintain the highest standards of service and operational efficiency within all areas of responsibility, including checking all kitchen and floor areas are free from waste/rubbish and assisting in the pot wash/wash up area.
* Implement a daily housekeeping plan on all kitchen equipment and general areas of the kitchen.
Key Accountabilities
* Check fridge temperatures each morning and afternoon.
* Keep all exits and walkways clear and clean.
* Maintain good stock rotation in all fridges/freezers and dry goods area and ensure a good hygiene policy.
* Assist in laundry collections and the waste management/recycling programme in the kitchen areas/shops.
Additional Requirements
* Familiarity with restaurant fire procedures, security procedures, health & safety policy and procedures, facilities and opportunities to promote these to customers, and departmental operational standards and procedures.
* Awareness of company performance and conduct guidelines, policies and procedures, short and long term sales and marketing promotions.
