Swim IrelandAskeaton Pool and Leisure Duty Manager (Part Time & Full Time)Role And Reporting StructureIn an exciting development, Swim Ireland is currently expanding pool operations to operate an additional leisure facility in Askeaton, County Limerick. We are now seeking friendly, professional, and organised Duty Managers to join our front-of-house team. As the first point of contact for our members and guests, reporting to our Pool & Gym Managers, you will play a key role in ensuring everyone feels welcome and supported. These Core Values are;Skills, Professionalism, KnowledgeWellbeing & InclusivityIntegrity and Excellence in GovernanceMy Passion, Our VisionTeamwork & CollaborationIf selected for interview, you will be provided with a candidate support pack giving you information and guidance on the selection process.Key Areas of ResponsibilityResponsibilities for the Duty Manager include but are not limited to the following:Arranging for the opening and closing of the facility each day at the hours as fixed and assisting with the overall function of the reception areaSupervising the day-to-day operation of the facility and pool, ensuring that required levels of staffing, security, safety and general cleanliness are maintainedSupervising and checking admissions and bookings and accounting for all money receivedSupervising on site staff, handling enquiries and complaints and ensuring that an appropriate level of service is maintained, together with a high level of customer satisfaction.Ensuring that all equipment and supplies are controlled and recorded as required and that maintenance, cleaning and repairs are properly carried outPromote and deliver a high standard of customer serviceOperation of the chlorination, filtration, ventilation and heating plants and testing of pool waterSupervising staff and activities in the facilityRepresenting the Pool & Gym Managers as required, overseeing all activities, operations and staff on site to include the Swim Ireland Aquatics Academy programmeSuch other duties as may be assigned from time to timeProvide information about facilities, classes, and eventsSupport other team members and assist with administrative tasks as requiredEducation And ExperiencePrevious experience in a similar role is essentialPool plant management experience and qualifications are an advantage but not essential, training will be providedLevel 2 Swimming Teacher QualificationPool Lifeguard QualificationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organisational abilities and attention to detailIT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Legend Point of Sale system or comparable system)Key QualitiesAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsPatience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Strong work ethic, flexibility, and adaptability.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of people.Strong attention to detail.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.BenefitsAccess to leisure centre facilitiesTraining and development opportunitiesSupportive team environmentPension schemeEssential RequirementsBe eligible to work in Ireland on a full-time basis.Applicants should note that this list is not exhaustive and is subject to change as required as appropriate.Remuneration and LocationThe package will include a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
