Process Engineer Job Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team on a biopharma client site in Athlone, Co. Westmeath. As a key member of our Managed Services team, you will work closely with our clients and internal stakeholders to deliver technical solutions for new and upgrade projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with process engineers and project teams to develop technical solutions for new/upgrade projects
Interact with site operations, EHS, maintenance, utilities, technical, and quality teams to ensure proposed solutions are acceptable
Perform data analysis and make informed decisions/recommendations based on conclusions reached
Liaise with site process engineers, maintenance, and production to scope and define business justification for upgrades to plant/equipment
Develop high-level descriptions of projects and detailed descriptions including revisions to P&IDs, PFDs, materials of construction, sizing of equipment, and control strategy and interlocks
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs, safety & environmental reviews, layout reviews, P&ID reviews, and GA drawing reviews
Support development of CAPEX plans and close out detailed design queries with project teams
Requirements:
Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical or Process Engineering or equivalent discipline
5-10 years' experience in biopharma/pharma sector
Fill-finish experience
Awareness of process safety engineering and process safety management
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team
