Automation Systems / Controls Engineer
The Automation Systems / Controls Engineer at Jabil Circuit plays a critical role in maintaining, repairing, and developing systems architecture within allocated timeframes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide PLC programming, Vision Systems, SCADA systems installation, networks, set-up, configurations, calibrations, troubleshooting, and fault-finding support for production assembly lines, NPI automation projects, and automation upgrades.
* Support design, buy-off, installation, and validation of automated production lines, working closely with technical team members to ensure successful project outcomes.
* Travel as necessary to support equipment buy-offs and training at vendor/customer sites, providing expertise and ensuring seamless integration.
* Lead systematic technical root cause investigations to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
* Contribute to the development of manufacturing IT Systems architecture and networking (Profibus, ProfiNET, etc.), driving continuous improvement projects that enhance system performance.
* Manage assigned project budgets, liaise with customers and contractors as required, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
* Develop systems equipment maintenance procedures and deliver technical systems training to maintain high levels of operational efficiency.
* Safeguard company safety and quality programs, ensuring ongoing compliance with GMP in all practices, recording of events and processes, and staying up-to-date on all learnings from GMP training events.

* Programming experience: PLC (e.g., Beckhoff, Siemens, Allen Bradley), C++, SQL, and familiarity with data analysis tools like Minitab.
* Proficient in MS Office applications, with experience in MS Project, MS Access, PowerBI, PowerApps, and PowerAutomate being advantageous.
* CAD experience is desirable, but not essential.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* Degree in electronic engineering, controls engineering, software engineering, or similar discipline.
* Essential experience of PLC programming, with Vision Systems and SCADA systems installation highly desirable.
* Minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in high volume automated assembly or medical device manufacturing in a regulated environment.
