NexVentur is seeking a Site Engineer to join our clients' team for a position based on an upcoming project in Ennis, Co. Clare.
With 5+ years of experience, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role on-site, taking ownership of the setting out, technical accuracy, and day-to-day engineering operations. This is a strong opportunity for a senior or established engineer looking to secure a long-term role in the Mid-West region.
Role & Responsibilities
Establish accurate setting out, levels, and controls on-site using modern surveying equipment (Leica/Topcon).
Interpret and implement technical drawings, specifications, and construction details, ensuring zero discrepancies between plans and execution.
Manage and oversee subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring work is delivered to the required quality and engineering standards.
Maintain comprehensive site records, including quality check sheets, concrete logs, as-built surveys, and daily diaries.
Ensure all engineering and construction activities comply fully with company safety protocols and statutory regulations.
Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Agent, and design teams to resolve any technical queries (RFIs) efficiently.
Skills and Experience
Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
5+ years of proven experience operating as a Site Engineer on commercial, residential, or civil engineering projects in Ireland or the UK.
Proficient in setting out using Total Stations/GPS and experienced in AutoCAD for extracting data and creating as-builts.
Hold a valid Safe Pass and a full Irish driving licence.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical details to both subcontractors and clients.
