This role offers stability, a clear structure to the working day and the flexibility to agree on a shift pattern that suits both driver and operations.
This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy early starts and prefer to have their afternoons free.
A typical day begins at approximately 05:30, with a, clearly labelled load prepared for delivery.
Drivers carry out between 8 to 15 multi-drop deliveries per day, with each item organised for efficiency.
Drivers typically take 25 minutes at the depot to inspect and arrange their vehicle before departure.
Once the scheduled deliveries are complete, the day concludesno second loads, no unexpected routing.
Flexibility is built into the role, allowing drivers to request later start times; however, this naturally results in later finishes.
The operation runs on a 5-days-out-of-7 rota, which can includes working every second weekend.
While previous experience in multi-drop delivery is advantageous, applications are welcomed from newly qualified and experienced drivers alike, provided candidates hold a full, valid Category C licence, an up-to-date CPC card and a digital tachograph card.
Candidates must also be confident driving on the left-hand side of the road.
Although formal driver training is not offered, candidates will complete a comprehensive two-week onboarding process.
This includes shadowing an experienced company driver to become familiar with the routes, procedures and customer service expectations.
A driving assessment and health screening questionnaire form part of the recruitment process to ensure safety and competence.
