Join a global leader in advanced materials and engineered solutions, where innovation meets precision. We’re seeking a Process Engineer who thrives in a hands-on production environment, with a strong focus on Continuous Improvement (CI), troubleshooting, and process optimization. Based in our Limerick facility, you’ll play a key role in driving efficiency, quality, and innovation across chemical processing and heat-treatment operations.
This is a role for someone who enjoys problem-solving on the shop floor, leading CI initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver smarter, leaner, and safer processes.
What You’ll Do
* Diagnose and resolve issues with production equipment and processes, minimising downtime.
* Champion CI projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methods to boost yield, reduce cycle times, and improve productivity.
* Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions, acting as the go-to for structured problem-solving (8D).
Process Development & Optimization
* Develop SOPs, process flows, and work instructions for new or improved processes.
* Partner with Product Development and Technology & Innovation teams to qualify new products and integrate them seamlessly into manufacturing.
* Introduce new procedures and methods to increase efficiency and reliability, particularly in heat-treatment and chemical processing areas.
Process Control & Compliance
* Conduct process audits and implement corrective actions.
* Define and monitor key process metrics to ensure stability and predictability.
* Lead safety and hazard reviews for new or modified equipment and procedures.
Leadership & Projects
* Act as project lead on CI and corrective action teams.
* Support capital investment projects — from concept through execution — ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
* Collaborate with EHS, Quality, Operations, and Sales to align process improvements with customer and business needs.
What You Bring
* Degree in Engineering (Materials, Chemical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing preferred).
* Experience in manufacturing/production processes, ideally in chemical, heat-treatment, or advanced materials industries.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and practical problem-solving approach.
* Exposure to Lean/Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt certification a plus).
* Knowledge of materials/metallurgy or semiconductor/data storage processes beneficial but not essential.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and with customers.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead cross-functional project groups.
Why Join Us?
* Be part of a world-class organisation shaping the future of advanced materials.
* Drive meaningful improvements in real-world production environments.
