AA Euro Healthcare is currently recruiting qualified and experienced Relief Social Care Workers to support therapeutic residential childcare services across Offaly.
We are currently building a strong bank of agency staff to support a number of residential childcare services, including services operating within trauma-informed and attachment-based models of care, supporting children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
The successful candidate will work within structured residential environments, supporting young people while promoting safety, stability, development, independence, and positive outcomes. This is a flexible agency opportunity, ideal for Social Care professionals seeking relief shifts within established residential childcare services.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct care and support within residential childcare settings
Implement individual care plans and therapeutic interventions
Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing environment
Support young people with daily routines, education, and personal development
Work with individuals who may present with challenging behaviour and complex needs
Build positive, trusting, and professional relationships with service users
Maintain accurate records in line with HIQA and safeguarding standards
Participate in team meetings and multidisciplinary planning
Support community engagement, social inclusion, and life skills development
Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks
Essential Requirements
QQI Level 7 Degree (or higher) in Social Care, Applied Social Studies, or a related discipline
Experience working with children and/or young people within residential or social care settings
Strong understanding of trauma-informed and attachment-based approaches
Experience supporting individuals with emotional and behavioural needs
Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
Ability to work flexibly across a 24/7 roster, including 12 hour shifts days and nights.
Full driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential
Eligibility to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available)
