The Role
Lead and manage daily operations of the residential service, ensuring compliance with Children First Act 2015, Health Act 2007, Care and Welfare Regulations 2013, and Tusla National Standards.
Supervise, guide, and support your team, promoting a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
Oversee individual care planning, key working, and goal setting.
Participate in on‑call management rotas and service development initiatives.
Support the setup and ongoing development of new services (Deputy Manager role).
Key Requirements
Qualifications: Level 7 or higher in Social Care (CORU‑approved or equivalent) or Social Work; management qualification preferred/enrolled (for SCM).
Experience:
SCM: 3‑4+ years post‑qualification in children’s residential care.
Deputy: 3+ years social care experience, with supervisory experience or acting as PIC.
Skills & Knowledge:
Trauma‑informed and positive behaviour support practices.
Knowledge of HIQA/Tusla inspections, Irish legislation, and regulatory frameworks.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Other:
Full, clean manual driving licence.
Crisis intervention/de‑escalation training (TCI, PMAV, MAPA, or equivalent).
First Aid, Fire Safety, and Manual Handling certifications.
