About The Role
The Senior Network Contracting Manager is responsible for contracting and provider relationship management activities within OptumRx, supporting an assigned group of pharmacy providers.
This role develops and maintains positive relationships with pharmacy partners, drives client satisfaction, and manages contractual obligations, contract negotiations, operational needs, and relationship needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and assist with contractual negotiations, including financial modeling where appropriate
Develop and execute provider strategy
Maintain knowledge of provider business and contracts with OptumRx
Provide positive alternatives to complex situations encountered by providers and manage expectations
Escalate provider concerns internally and help solve complex issues
Communicate effectively with providers via face-to-face meetings, conference calls, and written correspondence
Manage contractual obligations, including contract compliance
Be a self-starter, produce quality work, demonstrate excellent attention to detail, make decisions, and deliver on commitments
Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
Extensive contract management experience
Strong negotiation experience and relationship management skills
Experience in financial analysis and/or modeling
Intermediate proficiency with MS Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive knowledge of provider relations and/or network management
Experience with pharmacy or healthcare claims
Strategic thinking and/or project management skills
Eligibility
Must currently be eligible to work in Ireland indefinitely without restrictions.
Proof of eligibility will be required.
