Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Specialist who can provide direct nursing care and support to Adult Day Services in the region in the areas of complex care and behaviors of concern.
">
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
">
">
* Providing assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care given to Service Owners and their families.
">
* Providing clinical supervision to nursing staff across the region and at satellite sites as assigned.
">
* Developing and delivering bespoke and clinical training programmes as identified with service managers.
">
* Supporting up-to-date clinical practice and ensuring the competence of healthcare professionals and support staff.
">
">
">
Requirements:
">
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must have:
">
">
* A recognised validated University Degree or equivalent qualification in General/RNID/Paediatric Nursing/Clinical Nurse Specialist.
">
* Registration with An Bord Altranais (NMBI).
">
* Post-graduate (level 9) nursing qualification.
">
* Qualification in the area of Behaviour Support.
">
* Two years' experience working in the area of challenging behaviour.
">
* Experience supporting staff to implement behaviour support plans.
">
* At least five years post-qualification experience working frontline with individuals with disabilities and medical needs.
">
* Experience of facilitating training in areas such as Medication Management, PEG feeding, MAPA training, Positive Behaviour Support, Epilepsy training, Train the Trainer Certified or equivalent certified Training qualification.
">
* Broad knowledge of Enable Ireland and the complexity of working in a large organisation.
">
* Demonstrating continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to their area of work.
">
* Maintaining live annual registration on the register of NMBI for duration of employment.
">
* Eligibility to work in the State.
