Finance Manager - Construction - Kildare
A well-established and growing construction company based in Kildare is seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to oversee its finance function. Operating across a range of projects, the business has built a strong reputation in the market and continues to expand. This is a key role offering broad responsibility and close interaction with senior leadership.
The Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while providing commercial insight to support project delivery and business performance. This is a hands‑on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
Monitor project costs, margins, and profitability across multiple sites
Oversee cashflow management and weekly reporting
Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE/PRSI, requirements
Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes
Liaise with external accountants, auditors, and advisors
Drive improvements in financial processes and reporting
Support commercial decision‑making through analysis and insight
About You
Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Previous experience in a similar industry is highly desirable
Strong knowledge of Irish tax requirements
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Proactive, hands‑on, and commercially minded
