Day Services Team Leader Job Description
The Day Services Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of services in line with organizational policy. This includes planning, delivering, reviewing, and continually developing programs to ensure high standards of care, compliance, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate daily service delivery and develop continuous improvement plans as required.
* Ensure programs are planned, delivered, reviewed, and developed in accordance with organizational policy.
* Review timetables and programs where necessary.
* Lead the team in achieving strategic goals related to Adult Day Services.
* Supervise a small group of staff members.
* Ensure that staff have access to resources for maximizing independence, learning, education, and employment opportunities.
* Develop weekly timetables with staff to optimize efficiency.
* Oversee behavior support plans and person-centered planning meetings.
* Foster effective communication to support smooth service operations.
* Manage resources effectively, including petty cash management and vehicle coordination.
* Conduct ongoing program monitoring and evaluation, including internal audits and quality assurance systems.
* Build strong relationships with staff, families, caregivers, and referral sources.
* Carry out needs assessments and source training opportunities to support social independence.
* Identify and mitigate risks to service member care and wellbeing.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in team supervision, particularly in dynamic environments.
* Experience in day services programs supporting individuals with disabilities or exclusion.
* Strong ability to empower individuals and promote independence.
* An appropriate third-level qualification in a related field.
* Minimum 3 years supervisory experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
