Our CorporateTax team focuses on the provision of tax structuring advice, tax technology solutions and compliance services to Irish headquartered PLCs and large corporates. Our clients operate in a broad range of sectors including food andnutritional's, hospitality, construction, manufacturing and retail. We provide advice on many different business issues facing our clients by providing innovative solutions to suit their business circumstances. The introduction of the OECD’s Pillar 2 regime presents our clients with significant and ongoing challenges. Our team has developed a depth of experiencein relation to the Pillar 2 regime, and we are supporting our clients as they deal with the rules and the associated compliance obligations.
What we do:
Working closely with heads of tax and senior personnel in our client organisations, we assist with the formulation and implementation of Pillar 2 strategy in the context of the day-to-day business of the organisation as well as specific transactions such as acquisitions and disposals, overseas expansions and tax-efficient financing. We support our clients in identifying appropriate tax technology solutions and designing and implementing an efficient and effective compliance process. We ensure our clients are well-placed to understand and deal with emerging legislation and guidance.
What does this role offer:
As a Manager / Senior Manager in the Corporate Tax team, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve theircommercial issues from strategy to execution. You will deepen your knowledge of global tax rules including the Pillar 2 regime and international tax law. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Liaising closely with clients to ensure the optimum tax solutions are identified and implemented.
2. Bringing business knowledge, innovation and insight to create value for clients and the firm.
3. Deepening your familiarity with new legislation and tax policy in relation to the Pillar 2 rules and supporting your team in their learning.
4. Dealing with technical queries pertaining toPillar 2, working with specialists and other PwC offices as relevant.
5. Assisting clients with the identification, collection and analysis of the financial and non-financial data required for Pillar 2 calculations.
6. Preparing and reviewing tax provisions, including Pillar 2 adjustments, for quarterly and year-end reporting.
7. Contributing to the development and implementation of systems and processes to support Pillar 2 compliance.
8. Coaching team members and driving the team to make a difference and deliver results in a responsible, authentic and passionate manner.
9. Embracing the digital transformation ongoing in our business. Familiarising yourself with these evolutions and to drive these technologies further in our day-to-day business and that of our clients. Operating and collaborating effectively with a mindset that transcends geographic and cultural boundaries.
10. Contributing to the collaborative working environment offered by PwC and taking an active role in training our junior and senior staff members by promoting a learning culture.
About you – Key Competencies & Experience:
11. At least 4 years' experience in tax consulting/ compliance services.
12. Strong interest in Pillar 2 and Tax Policy.
13. Strong academic record with a degree from any discipline and AITI/CTA qualification or equivalent.
14. Business Acumen - use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from current trends in the market and utilise this information to assist your clients in making smart and innovative business decisions.
15. Relationship management - ability to read situations and modify behaviour to build quality, diverse relationships.
16. Creative - demonstrate an ability to contribute to new ideas and propose innovative solutions to problems.
17. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
18. Enthusiastic team player with a passion to coach and encourage others to achieve their potential.
19. Ambitious – demonstrate strong commitment to personal learning and development.
