The RoleThe Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical services to support safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication management across Marymount University Hospital & Hospice. This role is essential in ensuring optimal patient outcomes through expert clinical pharmacy services, with particular focus on specialist palliative care and services for older persons. The post involves working within a small team with the support of senior pharmacist colleagues, so would suit a newly registered pharmacist.Essential CriteriaBe registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland or be entitled to registrationDemonstrate comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical practice, medication management, and relevant legislationPossess sufficient Office 365 experience for daily operationsAbility to work independently and exercise sound professional judgmentEffective written and verbal communication skills including presentation and report writing abilitiesDemonstrated ability to contribute to training and development of pharmacy staff and multidisciplinary team membersStrong interpersonal skills for patient interaction and professional collaborationDesirable CriteriaPrevious experience of working in a hospital pharmacy is desirable but not essential as full training will be available.Contract TypeThis role is offered as a fixed-term contract (12 months) on a full-time basis, comprising 35 hours per week.
