The Role We are seeking committed Social Care Workers to support adults with intellectual disabilities and autism in high-support residential and respite settings.
The role is grounded in person-centred practice, human rights principles, and strong teamwork.
You will work collaboratively with individuals supported, families, and colleagues to ensure high-quality supports that promote dignity, choice, independence, and quality of life.
Clear communication, attention to detail, and adherence to agreed protocols are essential in this complex care environment.
Key Responsibilities Deliver person-centred supports in line with care plans and human rights principles Support adults with complex needs in high-support settings Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Follow written protocols and contribute to continuous service improvement Promote dignity, independence, and quality of life for people supported Qualifications & Eligibility Applicants must: Be registered or eligible for registration with CORU as a Social Care Worker AND hold one of the following: A recognised Social Care qualification A Schedule 3 qualification A comparable qualification recognised by CORU Eligibility under Section 91 of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act (proof of CORU application required) Proof of CORU registration is required prior to appointment.
Experience & Skills (Desirable) Experience supporting adults with intellectual disabilities and/or autism Experience working in high-support residential settings Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and risk management Experience following written protocols and guidelines CPI/MAPA experience desirable Excellent communication and teamwork skills
