Qualified Accountant – Corbett GroupOffice-based | Attractive salary packageThe Accountant will oversee financial management for construction and development projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, compliance with Revenue Commissioners, Industry Regulations, and timely reporting. This role requires expertise in project-based accounting, contract administration, and strong collaboration with site managers, professional service providers, and senior leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records for multiple construction and development projectsPrepare quarterly management accounts and project cost reportsMonitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow for ongoing developmentsTrack project expenditures against budgets, highlighting variancesManage accounts payable/receivable, subcontractor payments, and retention schedulesEnsure compliance with Revenue Commissioners regulations, construction-specific levies, and statutory filingsSupport tendering processes with financial analysis and cost estimatesLiaise with project managers, QS (Quantity Surveyors), and site teams to provide financial analysisAssist with audits and ensure adherence to internal controlsQualifications & SkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplineProfessional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent) preferredMinimum 3–5 years' experience in accounting, ideally within construction or property developmentKnowledge of project accounting, contract law basics, and construction finance practicesProficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or construction-specific ERP systems)Advanced MS Excel skills for cost tracking and reportingStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication skills for liaising with non-financial stakeholdersPersonal AttributesDetail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solvingAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlinesStrong integrity and commitment to ethical financial practicesCollaborative mindset with the ability to work across site and office teamsReporting LineReports to CEO / CFO / Senior LeadershipPerformance IndicatorsAccuracy and timeliness of project cost reportingCompliance with construction industry regulations and tax obligationsEffective budget monitoring and variance analysisQuality of financial support provided to project managers and senior leadershipPlease send your CV to Job Type: Full-timePay: €55,000.00-€70,000.00 per yearBenefits:FlexitimeWork Location: In person
