Since its foundation in 1871, our client has developed into one of the largest international logistics providers within Airfright, Seafreight, Road & Rail and Contract Logistics.They are now looking for an experienced Commercial Manager, full time in DublinAbout the position:Main purpose of role is to develop Air, Seafreight, Roadfreight and Customs sales across the Logistics sector in the Republic of Ireland.Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include:Achieve and exceed a designated GP & volume targetDevelop relationships with our clients global offices for specific trade routesEnsure Cross support all company Products : Air / Sea/ Road & build strong communication linesSupport the sales team, with accompany at meetings to share specialist knowledge.Develop opportunities in line with the Strategic business plan.Drive customer RFI/RFQ processes and responses either as a lead and/or in collaboration with the country or regional tender management teamOwn and/or support the network in regards to the implementation process of new and/or existing customers including Standard Operating Procedures, Technical Agreements and IT applicationsMaintain and develop assigned key accounts and/or identify and develop new target accountsAssist the local Branch Management in retention of secured business.Agree jointly with Management a sales plan and target account platform.Maintain regular dialogue on customer development with manager and wider team.Develop strong working relationships with procurement, IS & operations team.Develop and maintain personal expertise in selling skills and industry knowledge.Represent the Company in a positive and professional manner, ensuring that our values are adhered to at all times.Own and deliver specific projects as assigned by the line managerTo monitor all Accounts to ensure low and nil spend customers are immediately identified and relevant follow up action is taken.To maintain effective customer records through the CRM system.To monitor and evaluate personal sales performance, and take corrective action as appropriate.About you:The ideal candidate will be educated in Maths and English (oral and written) to GCSE, Standard Grade or equivalent; grade A-C and be able to demonstrate a high level of competent computer skills in all areas of Microsoft office 365Have substantial experience in a commercial sales environment within logistics in IrelandAbility to influence with a wide range of stakeholdersTarget driven with strong negotiating skills.Flexible team playerSalary is dependent upon qualifications and experience, plus car allowance and target driven commission scheme. The option for Hybrid working, 34 days holiday including bank holidays, company pension, Life insurance, & Allowance towards healthcare costs.Right to Work IrelandThe successful candidate will be required to show evidence of their right to work in Ireland before their commencement of employment.
