Financial AccountantDublinOur Dublin based client is looking for anewly qualified Accountantto join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and supporting the production of timely and reliable financial reports. Working closely with the finance team and wider business, the role plays a key part in month-end and year-end processes, financial controls, and audit preparation.ResponsibilitiesPreparation of monthly management accounts which are reported to the Senior Leadership Team.Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations.Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.Support statutory accounts preparation and act as a key contact for external auditors.Ensure compliance with tax requirements (e.g. Payroll, VAT, corporation tax support).Maintain and improve financial controls and accounting processes.Support budgeting and forecasting with accurate historical financial information.Provide financial information and analysis to support management decision-making.Support the organisation as required with ad-hoc external reporting requirements.Requirements:Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Experience preparing statutory accounts and supporting external audits.Solid knowledge of relevant accounting standards.Good understanding of tax compliance requirements (payroll, vat and corporation tax).Strong Microsoft Office skills particularly in Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving detail.
