Electrical Shift Technician
Location: Dublin 8
Duration: Permanent
Shift Role: 4 on, 4 off
Overview of the Role
The Technician will work as part of the Veolia Operations & Maintenance team in providing utilities in support of the client's business. Tasks include, but are not limited to plant rounds; preventative maintenance, and plant repairs.
Day to Day of the Role
* Rounds & readings of utilities systems (Water treatment; Waste Water neutralisation; Carbon Dioxide recovery, Nitrogen generation, Compressed air and refrigeration systems)
* Shift position 12 hour shifts 4 on 4 off. 2 thirds days 1 third nights
* Review spare parts requirements
* Complete on-site and vendor training
* Operation of site utilities in support of projects & commissioning
* Assist in definition of site safety systems
* Completion of all related documentation in compliance with site and regulatory rules and guidelines
* Delivery of delegated engineering tasks in compliance with good engineering practice and all regulatory, statutory and corporate requirements
* Keep training current in line with client's requirements, i.e. SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures).
* All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines
Required Skills for the Role
* Electrical engineering degree or diploma desirable
* 5 years industrial experience in a similar role
* Electrical/ Instrumentation Senior Trade, City & Guilds or equivalent
* Senior Trades, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical
* All work on site to be carried out in accordance with site EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) and Veolia EHS rules and guidelines
