Job Description
The role of an IT Compliance Analyst is to ensure that the organization's policies and procedures are in line with regulatory requirements. This involves developing and maintaining processes, staying up-to-date on regulatory changes, and advising stakeholders on present and future legislative developments.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Stay up-to-date on relevant changes in regulatory requirements and business activities globally, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
* Advise Group Planners, Local Planners, and technology stakeholders on present and future legislative and regulatory developments across all business divisions.
* Support the analysis of regulatory developments, interpreting related changes and their potential impact on the organization.
* Liaise with team members and stakeholders to oversee the completion of assessments, gap analyses, and implementation plans.
* Report and escalate progress on regulatory developments requiring assessment and implementation.
* Draft and circulate updates on key technology regulatory developments potentially impacting the organization.
* Serve as primary point of contact for technology regulatory compliance management-related queries.
* Review and update policies and procedures, user guides, and other relevant documents.
* Liaise with and provide support to functions in the identification and communication of regulatory obligations.
* Develop and implement a robust communications framework for disseminating and internally reporting significant regulatory developments affecting clients.
* Participate in internal audits and regulatory visits or site inspections as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Qualifications:
* Degree holder in law or relevant field or equivalent qualification.
* At least 5-8 years' experience in the financial services sector, preferably in compliance or legal.
* Strong knowledge of compliance and risk management.
* Strong regulatory knowledge with a proven ability in identifying, evaluating, and defining legal and regulatory obligations.
* Experience in the interpretation, assessment, analysis, monitoring, and implementation of related regulatory changes.
* Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English.
* Ability to lead conference calls with business and IT staff.
* Demonstrated record of presenting and reporting to senior management.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Independent and team worker.
* Pro-active and result-driven with the ability to meet deadlines and changing priorities.
* Reliable and able to grasp relevant issues quickly.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven record of developing and fostering working relationships.
* Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
* Familiarity with compliance tools is a bonus.
* Familiarity with cybersecurity-related regulatory changes is a bonus.
* Proficiency in using Microsoft products: Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Power BI, SharePoint, MS Teams.
