Group Accountant (18-Month Contract)

The Opportunity
We are seeking an accountant (NQ) or up to 3/4 years PQE to join the Finance team on an
18-month contract
. Reporting to the Group Finance leadership, this role is a key member of the team responsible for the delivery of timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting for the business and its stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support the preparation of monthly management accounts, group reporting packs and quarterly financial statements.
* Drive improvements and innovation in management reporting, including the use of
Power BI
and other analytical tools.
* Provide technical accounting input on complex transactions and liaise with auditors and shareholders on accounting matters.
* Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and efficiently, maintaining strong internal controls.
* Partner with commercial, treasury and operations teams to support transaction execution and reporting.
* Identify and implement process and systems enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, and a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
* Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience in a fast-paced finance environment.
* Strong knowledge of
IFRS
and technical accounting principles.
* Experience in aviation, aircraft leasing, financial services, or asset management preferred.
* Advanced proficiency in
Excel
and familiarity with
Power BI
; experience with Microsoft Business Central advantageous.
* Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
