Role Overview
We are currently seeking Java Spring Developers at Senior, Intermediate, and Junior levels to join a high-profile, long-term engagement within a Tier-1 consulting environment in Ireland. The successful candidates will work on mission‑critical enterprise systems, delivering secure, scalable, and high‑performance applications, with a strong focus on Irish public sector and regulatory‑driven platforms. Experience working with or for the Revenue Commissioners or similar government bodies will be considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities (All Levels)
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑grade Java applications using Spring / Spring Boot
Build and consume RESTful APIs and backend services
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including architects, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders
Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure adherence to security, performance, and compliance standards
Contribute to agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives
Senior‑Level Additional Responsibilities
Lead technical design and architecture discussions
Mentor junior and intermediate developers
Drive best practices in code quality, scalability, and performance
Act as a technical point of contact for stakeholders and clients
Required Skills Experience
Technical Skills
Strong hands‑on experience with Java (8+)
Solid expertise in Spring Framework / Spring Boot
Experience with REST APIs, Microservices, and MVC architecture
Strong knowledge of SQL / relational databases (, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Experience with JUnit, Mockito, and automated testing
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven/Gradle
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) is desirable
Experience Level
Senior: 7+ years of Java/Spring development experience
Intermediate: 4–6 years of relevant experience
Junior: 2–4 years of hands‑on Java/Spring experience
Mandatory Requirements
Proven Irish market experience (must have worked on projects in Ireland)
Valid Irish work visa / Stamp (Stamp1, Stamp 4, or EU Passport)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Background in Tier‑1 consulting firms or large enterprise environments preferred
Ability to work effectively with Irish public sector or regulated clients
Desirable / Nice to Have
Previous experience working with Revenue Commissioners or Irish government bodies
Knowledge of security‑driven systems, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
Experience in Agile / Scrum environments
Exposure to DevOps practices and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
