This includes, but is not limited to the following:Design, develop, and test software for class I, II and III medical devices per software standards, e.g. IEC62304.Plan projects, manage scope, and estimate work in collaboration with product engineers, technology architects, software design engineers, and software test engineers.Provide hands‑on leadership, coaching, mentoring, and software engineering best practices to junior software engineers.Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code and other engineering artifacts, ensuring timely delivery to meet program commitments.Participate in process improvement initiatives for the software team.Develop reusable patterns and encourage innovation that will increase team velocity.Work collaboratively across functions and with internal and external partners to deliver high quality products to the marketplace.Key Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.Minimum of 4 years of relevant technical experience, or advanced degree with 2 years of technical experience.Passion for creating high‑quality software and documentationStrong leadership and mentoring skillsStrong problem‑solving skillsProficiency working in a team environmentStrong oral and written communication skillsExperience in software design for medical devicesExperience with Agile methodologies and Test‑Driven DevelopmentProficiency in two or more of the following technologies: C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, C#, .NET, Python, Angular, Xamarin.Object‑oriented design and implementation.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package.
