OverviewDirector Financial Analytics role at Optum. Oversees a team responsible for financial analytics and modelling in support of Optum Rx Finance and Accounting. This team works on initiatives impacting OptumRx’s top clients and the overall business, providing financial modelling and analysis related to top clients, identifying factors influencing client financials and profitability, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement solutions. Key responsibilities include developing Rebate Credits strategies, conducting financial forecasting, coordinating client initiatives, and providing support for strategic projects.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to the analytics team, empowering members to deliver high-quality solutions that support client financial outcomes and drive business impact.Offer dedicated support to top clients by interfacing with client leads and market presidents to address client needs, strategies, analytics insights, and solution development.Understand the factors driving client performance and profitability and develop solution options to drive client optimization efforts.Collaborate closely with teams across Finance & Accounting, Client Management, Underwriting, Formulary, and Billing to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and senior leaders.Monitor client underperformance and manage strategies, solutions, and progress in partnership with Client Management and Underwriting leadership.Provide analytics and process support for Rebate Credits (AmCap, MFP, BioSims), including identifying key drivers impacting financials and refining credit processes to enhance logic, analytics, and data quality.Support various aspects of monthly close and quarterly forecasting activities; lead integration efforts for multiple rebate model refinements related to billing accuracy and formulary impacts and develop models to support client scenarios and impact analyses.Oversee management of the requests pipeline; prepare insights, recommendations, and solution proposals.Manage resource allocation and project prioritization, ensuring alignment with business goals.Promote knowledge sharing and mentoring and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree (or higher) in Finance OR equivalent experienceExtensive experience in data analytics roles, preferably in healthcare and/or in PBM business and within a finance domainProven track record of leading teams and projectsPreferred QualificationsExperience in consulting or strategic advisory rolesSoft SkillsOrganizational, time management, and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels across the organizationExperience in effectively managing cross-functional projects and teamsAdditional InformationPlease note you must currently be eligible to work and remain indefinitely without any restrictions in the country to which you are making an application.
