FRONT OF HOUSE STAFF – THEATRE OF LIGHT

Job Purpose
Theatre of Light is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Part-Time Casual Front of House Staff for Dream Point Experience. Our FOH team plays a key role in delivering a safe, enjoyable, and memorable visit for every customer. This includes greeting and guiding guests, assisting with retail and café operations, maintaining clean and welcoming spaces, and supporting the smooth running of events.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
Welcome customers warmly and assist with directions, information, and any special requirements.
Provide professional and friendly service at all times, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Retail, Café & Merchandise
Operate tills and handle cash/card transactions accurately.
Serve food and beverages in compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
Assist with merchandising, stock rotation, and restocking retail and café items.
Safety & Security
Support health & safety standards, including fire evacuation procedures.
Identify and report maintenance or safety hazards promptly to management.
Cleanliness & Presentation
Maintain a clean, tidy, and presentable Front of House, café, and retail areas.
Teamwork & Communication
Work closely with other FOH staff, the FOH Supervisor, and Duty Manager to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments.
Flexibility & Adaptability
Adapt to the needs of different events and audiences.
Be willing to take on varied FOH duties as required by management.
Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Problem-solving skills for handling customer queries and complaints.
Comfortable handling cash and retail transactions.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and unsociable hours.
Previous experience in hospitality, retail, or events.
Barista or basic food handling skills.
Understanding of HACCP and food safety practices.
