The R&D Engineering Manager, AI & Automation will lead the global strategy and execution of automation and artificial intelligence across TE Medical. This role drives AI‑enabled solutions across engineering, manufacturing, and business processes to improve quality, productivity, scalability, and cost competitiveness. The position leads a global team and serves as a key driver of TE Medical's digital and automation transformation.
Your main responsabilities
Define and deploy a global AI and automation strategy and roadmap aligned with business and customer needs.
Lead the application of AI/ML, computer vision, analytics, automation, and AVI to improve quality, yield, and decision‑making.
Embed automation and AI early in product development, NPD, and NPI to enable manufacturability and standardization.
Establish global standards, platforms, and best practices for automation and engineering processes.
Partner with Continuous Improvement, Product Development, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams.
Lead, develop, and scale a global automation and AI engineering team.
Manage multiple complex programs across global sites, including financial accountability and KPI tracking.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, regulatory, and validation requirements.
Act as a thought leader on AI, Industry 4.0, and digital manufacturing trends.
Your ideal background
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's/MBA preferred).
7–10 years experience in automation, process engineering, or manufacturing within a medical device or regulated environment.
Experience leading and developing teams in a global, matrixed organization.
Strong knowledge of automation systems, AI technologies, SPC, DOE, and process validation.
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead transformational initiatives.
Willingness to travel internationally.
