For us, being visionary is more important than following the status quo.What We’re Looking ForAs a Principal Software Developer, you will define and communicate the technical vision for the future architecture of the Signal and Location Services and other SOTI applications. You are an excellent coder, helping development teams turn our vision into reality by designing and building low‑friction APIs, highly responsive web UIs, and the backend that supports them. You will collaborate with partners that include leading tech giants.What You’ll DoArchitect and design core components of SOTI’s products, including APIs, services, middleware, and user interfaces.Write clean, maintainable C# code for major architectural components, contributing directly to product development.Own and drive non‑functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and security from ideation to implementation.Document and advocate best practices in software design, coding standards, and engineering principles across teams.Review and guide development teams on design decisions, performance optimization, and secure coding practices.Prototype and validate solutions, including proof‑of‑concepts for complex architectural challenges.Identify and help eliminate technical debt, ensuring long‑term maintainability and scalability.Collaborate cross‑functionally with senior leadership, product managers, support, and engineering teams to define and communicate technical strategy.Maintain architectural documentation, including roadmaps, design principles, and reusable design artifacts.Mentor and support developers and QA engineers, fostering technical growth and excellence.Stay ahead of emerging technologies and lead their adoption within the organization.Qualifications10+ years of experience architecting, designing, and implementing multi‑tiered software applications.Expertise in Computer Science fundamentals—math, algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and software architecture.Strong experience with programming languages such as .NET, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, and MVC.Excellent hands‑on knowledge of relational data models, SQL (MS SQL Server), and NoSQL databases.Good knowledge of designing and deploying applications in AWS or Azure.Experience with CI/CD processes and integrating SonarQube for code coverage.Experience solving complex business problems and designing flexible, innovative technical solutions.Highly proficient in software architecture patterns and documentation.Problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.Deep experience in agile software development lifecycle, practices, and tools (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, QA).Self‑starter with initiative, a can‑do attitude, and a positive mindset.Strong education in Computer Science or Mathematics preferred.At SOTI, we celebrate the uniqueness of our global teams and are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
