Lead Mechanical Design Engineer: A Strategic Leadership Role
The position of Lead Mechanical Design Engineer is pivotal in driving the development and verification of complex medical devices.
Main Responsibilities:
* Direct the design, development, and verification of intricate assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, and packaging to meet performance requirements.
* Select suitable materials, processes, tooling, automation, and equipment to enhance design feasibility and manufacturing efficiency.
* Translate product specifications into comprehensive product requirements.
* Conduct engineering studies and proof-of-concept testing to evaluate design feasibility and identify potential areas for improvement.
* Drive design and process enhancements to improve performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
* Oversee risk assessments including PHA, FTA, dFMEA/uFMEA for products and manufacturing processes.
* Investigate failures and implement corrective actions based on root cause analysis findings.
