Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled
Project Engineer / Project Manager
to join our Engineering Project Delivery Team.
This role is responsible for supporting all aspects of project scoping, commissioning, qualification, validation, and start-up operations.
The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
Lead and deliver engineering projects on schedule and within budget.
Scope new projects and secure capital approval.
Support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities for current and future projects.
Coordinate project interfaces with other projects, departments, and third parties (suppliers, service providers, etc.).
Manage project cost estimation, forecasting, scheduling, progress reporting, and risk management.
Conduct constructability, maintainability, and operability studies.
Facilitate project meetings, documentation, and resource planning.
Operations & Compliance
Troubleshoot process and equipment-related issues.
Ensure all project activities comply with cGMP, EHS, and site procedures.
Investigate and resolve deviations within the engineering function.
Provide training on project processes and equipment as required.
Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documentation in line with GDP requirements.
Support site audits, inspections, and external project-related activities.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership
Lead and support cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives.
Promote continuous improvement and foster a culture of open communication.
Support training and knowledge transfer to colleagues.
Conduct post-project performance reviews and capture lessons learned.
Act as a role model for safety, quality, and compliance at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
5+ years' experience in project engineering/project management within a regulated environment (pharma, biotech, or similar).
Strong knowledge of commissioning, qualification, and validation processes.
Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and risk in complex projects.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Familiarity with change management procedures in a regulated manufacturing setting.
