It currently operates five homes, with plans underway to open two more.,All our children's homes are of an exceptionally high standard, something we are incredibly proud of We have invested considerable time and care into creating warm, welcoming environments that provide a therapeutic setting and the ideal conditions for every young person to thrive and growJoin us as we establish our Children's Care Service and raise the bar in the provision of children's care.The roleAnn's Children's care is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, organised and professional deputy home manager to be part of the team at their new children's residential facility in County LouthWorking in a supervisory role and in collaboration with the home manager you will help guide the team in the delivery of high-quality social care in a safe and therapeutic environment in accordance regulatory requirements and Ann's policies and procedures.Principal responsibilitiesTo assist the home manager in creating and maintaining a caring, safe, stable, and professional environment for both the young people to live in and the staff to work in and deputise on behalf of management in their absenceHave clear knowledge and understanding in relation to the national standards as well as relevant legislation and how this translates to practiceEnsure that staff have clear knowledge and understanding of such legislation, policies and proceduresUndertake the role of designated liaison person (DLP) in supporting staff in their awareness and understanding of their duties as mandated reporters in line with child protection proceduresBe able to cover on call as and when requiredSupport management in ensuring the day to day running of the home including appropriate delegation of tasks to staffOversee budgets such as petty cash and ensure the home and staff are complying with relevant policy and procedures such as health & safetyGood attention to detail and excellent communication skills both written and oralAttend team meetings and facilitate meetings such as supervision, team meetings, present as multi-disciplinary meetings such as child in care reviews / looked after children reviewsComplete identified pieces of monitoring work as directed by the home managerOversee, supervise and develop the skills of staff in their daily working practice.Complete internal audits on key work files to ensure all is in line with national standards and company policy and proceduresEnsure and undertake supervisory responsibilities, including the written supervision of care team support workers, within legislative time scales.Oversee, write and edit all reports when submitted for meeting and reviews.Qualifications RequiredLevel 7 qualification (degree) or above in one of the following:Social CareSocial WorkHealth and SocialChild & Adolescent PsychotherapyYouth & CommunityTeachingNursingSocial ScienceAddiction CounsellingCounselling / PsychotherapyFamily SupportDisability StudiesApplied Behavioural AnalysisEarly Years CareLevel 8 qualification (Honours degree) or above in one of the following:PsychologyExperience Required:At least 3 years relevant experience working in children's residential care (2 years must be at team leader level)Flexibility to work shifts if required.Up to date knowledge of legislation surrounding residential childcare and safeguardingExperience of multi-disciplinary working with a range of professionals in the industryAbility to deliver reports and meet deadlines.Full driving licence and business insuranceFlexible approach to meet business needs as the role may entail covering evenings / weekends.We reserve the right to enhance the criteria at shortlisting stageAnn's are an Equal Opportunities EmployerIND008Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: Up to €50,000.00 per yearApplication question(s):Do you have at least 3 years relevant experience working in children's residential care (2 years must be at team leader level)Are you able to travel and work in Co.
