Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join our culinary team at The Coach House Brasserie. As the Head Chef, you will report directly to the Executive Head Chef and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction. You will lead a team of passionate culinary professionals and work collaboratively to deliver a memorable dining experience to our guests.
Responsibilities:
Culinary Leadership:
* Collaborate with the Executive Head Chef to develop and execute innovative menus, ensuring a balance between creativity and guest preferences.
* Supervise and mentor the kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high-quality standards.
* Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and open communication among the culinary team.
* Lead by example, demonstrating culinary excellence, efficiency, and a strong work ethic.
Food Preparation and Production:
* Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to the highest standards of taste, quality, and visual appeal.
* Oversee the creation and maintenance of standardized recipes, portion control, and food cost management.
* Monitor and maintain an efficient inventory of kitchen supplies, equipment, and ingredients, adhering to budgetary guidelines.
* Stay updated with culinary trends and incorporate them into menu development to provide a fresh and exciting dining experience.
Kitchen Operations:
* Implement and enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
* Manage and maintain accurate records of kitchen activities, such as food quality, waste control, and staff scheduling.
* Coordinate with the Executive Head Chef and other department heads to ensure seamless operations and excellent guest experiences.
* Collaborate with the procurement team to source the highest quality ingredients, maintaining relationships with local suppliers.
Quality Control and Guest Satisfaction:
* Conduct regular quality checks on food preparation and presentation, maintaining consistency and meeting guest expectations.
* Respond promptly and effectively to guest feedback, resolving any issues or concerns related to the culinary experience.
* Promote a customer-centric mindset among the kitchen staff, encouraging them to go above and beyond to exceed guest expectations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel establishment.
* In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, menu development, and food safety standards.
* Creative and passionate about culinary arts, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
* Strong leadership skills, including the ability to delegate tasks, set priorities, and make quick decisions.
