We are recruiting a part-time Bookkeeper / Accounts Technician to join a growing team of a small construction company in the D14 area.
This role involves 20 hours per week and offers a pay rate of €24/25 per hour. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-4 years of previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within a construction-related background.
Responsibilities:
1. Posting of all supplier and customer invoices
2. Balancing debtors and creditors, with monthly listings
3. Managing VAT returns and assisting in year-end accounts preparation for the Accountant
4. Preparing RCT monthly returns
5. Providing the Accountant with monthly payroll information
6. Preparing supplier payments for authorization
7. Reconciliation of bank and Visa accounts monthly, including analysis of accounts and variances
8. Preparing monthly financial reports and correspondence for internal or external review
9. Contributing to or completing special projects as assigned
10. Preparing Profit & Loss statements and balance sheets
Skills and Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the construction industry
* Strong communication skills, both over the phone and via email
* Accounting technical qualification is essential
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
* Experience with accounts software, ideally QuickBooks
* Experience preparing accounts up to Trial Balance stage
Additional Information:
* Hours are 20 per week
* Initially on-site, with potential for hybrid work after the initial period
