Senior Quantity Surveyor Vacancy
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Co. Offaly. The successful candidate will work on exciting developments ranging in value between €5M and €60MM, pricing and tendering for new jobs as well as overseeing ongoing projects.
* Prominent Role: Responsible for preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts.
* Negotiation Expertise: Ensure sub-contractors are pre-qualified in accordance with management systems.
* Project Management: Procurement of sub-contractors and preparation of sub-contractor order documentation.
* Certification Authority: Assessing and certification of sub-contractor interim payments.
* Tender Process: Assist with estimations for new projects and the tender process.
* Bills of Quantities: Re-measurement of Bills of Quantities.
* Team Lead: Lead and provide support/mentorship to a commercial team.
* Material Management: Carrying out Material Take-offs.
* Valuation Expert: Preparation of Interim valuations and final account.
* Variation Manager: Managing and valuing variations.
* Cost Valuation: Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliation on contracts.
* Effective Collaboration: Establish, maintain and enhance effective working relationships.
* Work Allocation: Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by teams, individuals and yourself.
Requirements
* Educational Background: Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction management.
* Experience: 7+ years' experience with a Building Contractor in ROI or NI.
* Public Works Contract Knowledge: Ideally will have knowledge and experience with Public Works Contracts.
* Project Valuation: Proven record of working on projects valued up to €10M+.
* Software Skills: Proficient in Microsoft excel and project.
* Collaborative Mindset: Driven Team player.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
