General Operations Assistant
The role of a General Operations Assistant is to provide day-to-day support for the efficient operation of our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of designated work areas.
* Ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of wash-up facilities, toilets, and communal areas.
* Monitor and operate central heating systems efficiently and economically.
* Clean and maintain drains, water traps, and related systems regularly.
* Manage lighting usage to ensure cost efficiency.
* Keep external areas such as yards, pathways, and loading bays clean, safe, and well-organized.
* Oversee the use and storage of cleaning equipment and supplies.
* Clean and maintain dust extraction and fume extraction systems to ensure safe operation.
* Secure all windows, doors, and entry points in assigned areas before lock-up.
* Switch off utilities including lighting, taps, fans, and extractor systems after hours.
* Promptly report defects, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Assistant Manager.
* Provide general operational support as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Forklift operation certification.
* Experience or skills in basic carpentry, general repairs, or facility maintenance.
* Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy training environment.
