Our client, a highly regarded and well-established accountancy firm based in Cork City, is looking to add a motivated Senior Tax Accountant to their expanding tax division. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a varied client base, tackle complex tax issues, and play a key role in the continued success of a dynamic and growing team.
About the Role
In this position, you'll provide end-to-end corporate tax compliance and advisory services to a broad range of clients, from SMEs and large indigenous companies to multinational corporations. You'll be a vital part of the team, responsible for:
1. Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations and returns.
2. Managing timely submission of tax returns to Revenue.
3. Advising on corporate tax matters, including planning, restructuring, and cross-border transactions.
4. Identifying tax-saving opportunities and crafting tailored client solutions.
5. Acting as a liaison with the Revenue Commissioners.
6. Staying current with changes in Irish tax law and case developments.
7. Developing strong, trust-based relationships with clients.
8. Assisting with tax audits and Revenue investigations.
9. Supporting and mentoring junior team members (as applicable).
10. Contributing to the ongoing growth and development of the tax team.
About You
* An Irish tax qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent).
* At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate tax, ideally in a practice setting.
* A strong grasp of Irish corporate tax legislation and compliance processes.
* Experience preparing and reviewing complex tax computations.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
* Confident communication skills, able to explain complex tax matters in a clear, client-friendly way.
* The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, both independently and within a team.
