Overview
Maintenance Technician role at Kerry. Based in the Listowel manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of the equipment used within the plant, using your craft qualification to support manufacturing requirements for dependability, quality, safety and environmental compliance. The role involves working on a shift rotation with some overtime and will start as a 9 month fixed term contract in line with newly won business, with potential for permanence.
Key responsibilities
* Provide effective technical support to Production in all aspects of machine and equipment maintenance, installation and modification; perform detailed maintenance, calibrations, PMs and troubleshooting.
* Support maintenance planning and preventative maintenance through completion of planned and emergency work orders, calibrations, PMs etc. Document maintenance work, including upgrades and parts used, to ensure proper records of repair history.
* Support continuous improvement by active participation in repairs, upgrades, preventative maintenance and system failure investigations, and development of change control where appropriate.
* Adherence to Safety Health & Environmental policies and carry out all tasks in a safe and controlled manner.
* Pro-active team collaboration with peers, production, quality and support groups to improve equipment reliability and performance.
* Respond to breakdowns, fault find, identify root cause, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications and skills
* Electrical Craft Qualification with multi-skilled plant maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Ideally experience of working within the food industry.
* Working safely with relevant H&S qualifications (e.g., IOSH, Confined Spaces).
* Experience of fault-finding diagnostics and procedure.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
* Experience of using CMMS.
