A Director of Nursing is required for an established nursing home in Wicklow. This position offers an opportunity to be a key part of a dynamic and forward-thinking company that provides excellent support.
Responsibilities include:
* Conducting internal audits and following up on results
* Initial induction and ongoing training of staff
* Encouraging innovative practices
* Ensuring compliance with Company and HIQA standards
* Conducting communication meetings with clinical staff
* Building relationships with community agencies and facilitating resident participation in community activities
* Collaborating with Marketing to promote the home's profile
* Implementing health and safety policies
* Organizing fire training and evacuation procedures
* Maintaining hygiene standards
* Overseeing maintenance programs
* Participating in staff recruitment and training needs analysis
* Ensuring clinical practice meets regulations and standards
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes required:
* Qualified Nurse with at least 3 years of management experience in elder care within the last 6 years
* Post-registration management qualification in health or related field
* Proven clinical management experience
* Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
* Strong decision-making skills and results-oriented
* Team player with flexibility and adaptability
