Job Title: Sous Chef
Location: South Dublin
Hours: 5 days over 7 – shifts between 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-respected client for an experienced Sous Chef to join a high-standard establishment in South Dublin. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, you will be part of a dedicated team, playing a key role in maintaining exceptional kitchen operations.
Responsibilities
* Assist the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, food preparation, and staff management
* Oversee daily kitchen activities ensuring food quality and presentation meet high standards
* Prepare and cook dishes with precision, creativity, and attention to detail
* Contribute innovative ideas to menu planning, keeping the food offering fresh and exciting
* Maintain excellent knowledge and compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
* Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and cost control to optimise efficiency and profitability
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or higher in a high-end restaurant or hotel environment
* Right to work in Ireland with appropriate documentation
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy kitchen environment
* Flexibility to work shifts including nights and weekends
* Creative culinary flair with a passion for innovation and current culinary trends
