* Identify new business opportunities through market research and analysis of competitive landscape and trends.
* Leverage data analytics tools to gain deeper insights into market trends and customer behavior.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic business development plans to drive company growth and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business partners and stakeholders.
* Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by understanding their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct market research to identify new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
* Analyse the competitive landscape and market trends to forecast business goals.
* Utilise data analytics tools to gain deeper insights into market trends and customer behaviour.
* Innovation: Encourage innovation by identifying and exploring new product ideas and business models.
* Strategic Planning: Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic business development plans.
* Risk Management: Develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential business risks.
* Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development initiatives.
* Customer Feedback: Implement systems to gather and act on customer feedback to improve products and services.
* Collaboration: Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to align company goals and strategies.
* Thought Leadership: Position the company as a thought leader by contributing to industry publications and speaking at conferences.
* Brand Awareness: Work on increasing brand awareness through strategic partnerships and sponsorships.
Essential Criteria for the Role:
* Proven experience at Senior Business Development Manager/Director level in DC sector, working direct/indirect with Hyperscale and Enterprise clients.
* Extensive experience in a sales environment with a strong background in the Construction sector.
* Ability to analyse market data and trends to make informed business decisions.
* Strong strategic planning skills to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
* Proven leadership abilities to inspire and guide the business development team.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and business needs.
