We are a leading provider of health and social care services, committed to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in their communities.
This role is part of our dedicated team, working in four regions across Ireland. Our services cater to 400 adults with intellectual disabilities in counties Louth, Meath, and Monaghan.
As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate actively within their community. Your key responsibilities include:
* Supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their full potential, particularly those with moderate to profound disabilities.
* Contributing to behavioral support plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for service users.
* Developing knowledge of relevant legislation and HIQA guidelines to inform your practice.
* Working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality support services.
* Providing excellent communication skills to facilitate effective relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A relevant QQI certificate at level 5 or equivalent qualification.
* Previous experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities, preferably those with moderate to profound disabilities.
* Flexibility and responsiveness in meeting the needs of service users and the organization.
* Reliability and trustworthiness, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
* A clean driver's license, with access to a reliable vehicle.
