We always look to do things betterJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and creative Taproom Manager to join our team. This role is perfect for a quality-focused individual who is passionate about our brand, excels in team development, and is committed to delivering outstanding customer service.As the Taproom Manager, you will be the face of Wicklow Wolf in the Taproom, responsible for ensuring our visitors have an unforgettable experience. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager to build and enhance our brand showcase. This position reports directly to the Managing Director.Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & ServiceEnsure every customer has an exceptional experience, maintaining all brand standards.Maintain the highest standards of quality for beer, coffee, and customer service.Oversee cleanliness and organization of the bar and retail areas, ensuring an inviting environment.Ensure responsible service of alcohol and compliance with all company policies and legal requirements.Manage reservations and brewery tours, including conducting tours when necessary.Implement and adhere to the HACCP plan, ensuring strict adherence to sanitary and safe food handling practices.Handle stock control and ordering of all necessary items.Oversee the Online Shop, ensuring all orders are fulfilled promptly and accurately.Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.Team ManagementRecruit, train, and motivate Taproom staff.Manage the staff roster and hours.Conduct performance reviews and manage disciplinary actions as needed.Uphold Wicklow Wolf's culture, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.Ensure staff compliance with all health, safety policies.Assign daily responsibilities and tasks, ensuring adherence to brand standards and company policies.Sales & MarketingCollaborate with the Marketing Manager to enhance the visitor experience and promote the brand.Develop and implement events and opportunities to increase revenue.Act as a brand ambassador for all visitors.Maintain a clean and appealing Taproom environment, ensuring merchandise is fully stocked.Oversee the fulfilment and stock control of the Online Shop and orders.AccountingBudgeting, forecasting, and meeting financial objectives.Oversee cost control and profitability of the Taproom.Accurately account for all invoices and reconcile cash at the end of each day.Ensure accurate recording of all beer and retail item transfers.Requirements3-5 years of management experience in bar management.Experience with beer and coffee.Strong organisational and communication skills.Passion for Wicklow Wolf's vision.Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Cicerone Certified Beer Server certification an advantage.Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Physical ability to lift over 50 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods.Why Join UsAt Wicklow Wolf, you will find an invigorating and exciting environment where hard work and a sense of humour are valued.
