The ideal candidate will be the main point of contact for all customer collections and walk-ins at the trade counter, providing product advice, processing orders, and ensuring an excellent customer experience every time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as the main point of contact for all customer collections and walk-ins at the trade counter.
* Deliver excellent customer service in person, by phone, and via email handling enquiries, payments, and resolving issues.
* Process sales orders, dispatch notes, invoices, and related documentation using internal systems.
* Maintain accurate daily reports and manage admin tasks such as POD folders and order tracking.
* Support customer accounts by coordinating with Sales and Business Development teams.
* Run monthly trade counter promotions to drive sales and customer engagement.
* Assist with hire sales and returns, stock returns, and liaise with the purchasing team to manage inventory levels.
* Build relationships with local contractors and walk-in customers to grow the customer base.
* Attend training sessions to stay informed on products and services.
* Work closely with the wider depot and head office teams to ensure smooth operations.
Our ideal candidate will have 1+ years experience in an administrative role, preferably in a trade counter or building materials environment.
They will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be comfortable using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, and be organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in handling tasks.
