Legal Associate Director – (12 month FTC initially)
An established and highly respected financial services organisation with a long-standing presence in the Irish market is seeking an experienced legal professional to join its Risk function.
This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, complex regulatory matters, and strategic business initiatives within a fast-paced, values-driven environment.
Role responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Legal function on a broad range of matters including client engagement (contentious and non-contentious), contracts, data protection, and strategic growth initiatives
Advising senior stakeholders across the business to ensure a coordinated and compliant response to legal and regulatory challenges
Partnering with the business to develop and implement appropriate legal strategies across contentious and non-contentious matters
Identifying legal and regulatory risks and proposing practical mitigation strategies aligned to commercial objectives
Managing external legal counsel and supporting company secretarial and corporate governance matters as required
The Person:
Qualification as a Solicitor (or equivalent overseas qualification) with 6+ years post-qualification experience in top-tier private practice and/or in-house
Broad legal experience, with particular strength in financial regulation, banking and finance, pensions, consumer law and contentious matters
Strong knowledge of the Irish regulatory framework and experience within the financial services sector
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to advise C-suite executives and Board-level stakeholders
A proven ability to independently assess legal and commercial risk, manage complex matters, and deliver clear, pragmatic advice
