Our client a well-established organisation is seeking to appoint a Transport Manager for their busy logistics business, to ensure service level targets are met while maintaining good customer and staff relations.
Manage the daily transport operations of the business Manage and motivate the transport team Identify and implement process improvements driving efficiency and productivity Oversee the planning and scheduling of transport routes to meet KPIs Manage fleet maintenance programme (including subcontractor servicing) Ensure employees meet all H&S and road safety legislation and compliance requirements Produce timely and accurate departmental performance reports Candidate and Skills Requirements: The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience working in a similar environment and will have the following attributes: Knowledge of transport legislation Proven track record of vehicle management Strong IT / Systems capability Good organisational, management and delegation skills Ability to solve problems and work under pressure and to deadlines A good track record of meeting targets and budgets Skills: Transport Management Operations and Logistics Distribution logistics Depot Management Logistical Operations Fleet Controlling Route Planning Benefits: Pension Fund Laptop Flexitime Mobile Phone Medical Aid / Health Care
