Job description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Manager to lead the Parts Department at our dealership in Carrickmacross. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the parts department, ensuring optimal stock management, excellent customer service, and efficient support to both workshop and retail customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the daily operations of the parts department, ensuring smooth workflow and high customer satisfaction.
* Oversee ordering, stocking, and distribution of genuine Hyundai, Škoda, and Citroën parts and accessories.
* Maintain accurate inventory control, including stock levels, returns, obsolescence, and audits.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with the workshop, sales team, retail customers, and trade accounts.
* Actively pursue new parts trade business.
* Monitor parts sales performance, set targets, and implement strategies to achieve departmental profitability.
* Ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
* Lead, coach, and motivate a team of parts advisors to deliver exceptional service.
* Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure compliance with franchise standards and promotions.
* Implement and maintain best practices in housekeeping, health, safety, and environmental compliance.
* Use dealership management systems (DMS) to manage stock, reporting, and performance tracking.
* Always maintain a high standard of personal presentation.
* Pro-actively contribute to departmental and inter-departmental teamwork and to be supportive of the overall company mission and related initiatives.

What We're Looking For:
Essential Experience:
* Proven experience as a Parts Manager or Senior Parts Advisor within an automotive dealership (experience with multi-franchise brands is highly advantageous).
* Demonstrated success in managing stock control, supplier relationships, and sales targets.
* Full Valid driver's license
Desirable Experience:
* Experience using dealership management systems (e.g., Autoview, Kerridge/Keyloop, CDK, Pinewood, or similar).
* Strong background in Hyundai, Škoda, Citroën, or other major automotive brands.
* Previous leadership experience with a track record of developing and managing a team.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong knowledge of automotive parts, stock management, and manufacturer systems.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills.
* Commercially aware with the ability to meet and exceed sales/profitability targets.
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
* High attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure.
* Exceptional customer service and communication skills (face-to-face, phone, and digital).
* IT literate with strong MS Office and DMS software skills.
