Electrical Engineering Technician
The role of Electrical Engineering Technician involves providing electrical maintenance support to production and contributing to operational efficiency by maximising uptime of machinery and minimising downtime in production and utility areas.
* Carry out installations, commissioning and troubleshooting of plant/equipment adhering to relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
* Analyse plant downtime levels and implement effective strategies to increase uptime.
* Work with equipment suppliers on new equipment, installations and modifications.
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A relevant third-level qualification in Engineering or equivalent time-served Electrician/Fitter qualification/experience.
* Min 3 years' experience in a maintenance role, with planned and reactive maintenance skills.
* Working knowledge and experience of relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Supporting line leaders/line support i.e. overtime, shifts cover, phone support and callouts.
* Providing general maintenance support as designated by supervisors/managers to include any or all of the following areas: process equipment; HVAC equipment; refrigeration; packaging equipment.
Key qualifications include:
* Experience with lock-out tag-out program.
* Adherence to site policies on Quality, H&S.
* Assisting the H&S team in carrying out risk assessments of new and existing machines.
* Ensuring H&S training is rolled out to the Maintenance team.
Shift allowance: 10% for later shift. Weekly rotation of shifts. On-site parking but access to a car required.
